BlueDAG’s BlueDAG Launch provides vocational training for managing public sector accessibility initiatives and achieving compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Use your continuing education budget to gain valuable knowledge and experience while making significant progress toward your goal, and earn 12 elective credits for the ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program (ACTCP).
When you complete the 90-day BlueDAG Launch, you’ll accomplish the following:
- Creation of an ADA workgroup
Build your team, assign roles and responsibilities, and establish processes.
- Inventory facilities and sites
Create an assets list of your places of public accommodation in preparation for assessment.
- Inventory programs and services
Build a master database of public programs and services in preparation for assessment.
- Develop ADA policies and procedures
For employment, transportation, public accommodations, programs and services, and communications.
- Creation of an accessibility road map
Set goals and priorities, and develop a framework for sustained improvement.
- Creation of a draft transition plan
Incorporate your assets list, policy docs, and other relevant data into your entity’s Transition Plan.
- Identify funding sources
Locate grants and funds for ADA remediation initiatives.
- Set a milestone and achieve a goal
Perform an accessibility assessment on a program or facility to identify barriers.
You’ll use BlueDAG’s Government software suite as your information management system for the duration of the program. At the conclusion of the BlueDAG Launch, you will receive the following deliverables:
- Certificate of completion
- 12 elective credits earned toward ACTCP
- Draft of Transition Plan
- Master assets list
- Evaluation report(s) from goal outcome
- Checklists and related accessibility tools
- One-year roadmap
